Treebeard, Ugnakh and Jackson Closer to Tolkien
Lughaidh

Chris1 - You can see Treebeard picking up Merry in the trailer. Also, check out the 2003 Tolkien calendar. The Ents may be accurate film representations ... perhaps.

Viking - I've wondered about "Ugnakh" myself. It seems that Mr. Jackson left out the Mordor Orc connection in his raid on the Fellowship, and my (personal) thinking is that Ugluk will be the lieutenant of Lurtz. I also wonder if the "Uruk-Hai" wallpaper on the official site might be Ugluk, or if it is the leader of Sauruman's army that attacks Helm's Deep.

Turin Turambar - I think you hit the nail right on the head. It seems over the past few years that many wanted to see Arwen as the "Maiden in the Tower" or something along those lines. The great couples, though, fought side by side as you pointed out. I am personally glad to see her character developed a bit more and I wonder if Mr. J. is going to spice up some potential conflict between Arwen and Éowyn.

Not too much longer to wait!
