Grishnahk
Peter

Someone mentioned Grishnahk which brought to my memory a nagging question I had last time reading LOTR.

How did Grishnahk know about the ring? Pippin guessed that he did, rather astutely, I thought, but I could never figure out how he (Grishnahk) knew or why he wanted it.

Was he a tool of Saruman or Sauron? Did he want it for himself?

Any thoughts?
