Firstborn?
Tom M.
I've been curious about something and apologize if you all discussed it and I missed it.
In Norse mythology, you have the Alfar or "Light Elves" who are immortal and not gods (Aesir or Vanir). In Celtic mythology, the Tuatha De Danaan were originally of this type, eventually becoming gods. In some bits of Greek mythology, there was, I believe, an island coincident to the Elysian Fields that eventually became one and the same with it - a home of blessed spirits to the west, who were not touched by death. What I'm wondering is how many mythological systems across the globe may have had a group of these bright immortals. Has anyone done a study of this - perhaps published something?
Could these "Elves" have been some memory handed down from a time before the Flood/Ice Age?
