Cameo
Frodo Gamgee
Was wondering if anybody knows whether Peter Jackson will be making a cameo appearance in TT?
It would be a shame if he didn't, as his herculean efforts (just realised Hercules is from a differing mythology - maybe should've said Aragornian efforts??? to put it into a Tolkienian mythology perspective) in making the LOTR a masterpiece, surely warrants that his presence be there in each film for posterity.
IMHO his efforts so far have been excellent because he has been faithful to the spirit of the books. His films capture the grandness, humour, sweeping vistas, fantastic creatures, emotion etc,...I could go on. He was spot on in making you believe it is all possible.
I understand why certain characters were left out. Sure you have time and financial constraints, but really it boils down to the fact that Peter felt he could tell the story without mentioning those characters ie TB, Goldberry etc. I like to think of it like this: the fact that Peter doesn't mention them doesn't mean they do not exist. Sure I would d to see what TB looked and acted like on the screen like most people but realise that this story is Peter Jackson's version for which I am extremely greatful.
Sorry if have covered old ground but wanted to put in my 20 cents worth.
Can't wait for the TT to arrive as I'm sure it will be magnificent. I also will be scanning the screen to see if PJ makes a cameo. Let's hope so!
