Re: Scouring of the Shire

In reference to the latest post regarding whether or not the Scouring will make it in to the ROTK, every interview/insider info that I have read says that it will not be in the movie. I, like most people, hate the idea of the movie ending in a different way that the book, not to mention I wanted to see Pippin and Merry in their "knight" clothes :-).

Also, someone mentioned that rope was not a gift of Galadriel. It was not given with the formal presentation, but it was in the boats when they were given to them on the bank of the Silverlode. "And they added also coils of rope, three to each boat. Slender they looked, but strong, silken to the touch, grey of hue like the elven-cloaks."
