Moria Orcs
Parsley Gamgee

I have to agree with you Brett C, the scene in the mines of Moria was altered to make it more dramatic and overall look better. Along with the fact that according to the book, Aragorns sword should have "fired up" and of course Glamdring would have been flaring away like a good'n, less forgetting Sting's glowing blade. I think that it would have been the case that the Orcs nature of fighting in large groups probably made it like a Mexican stand off, where as individuals the orcs were too scared to start the fight. Also it is not mentioned, but the Balrog could have commanded them to hem in the fellowship until he comes along and battles them himself, or he may be a glory seeker and wanted the action for himself?? leaving the hobbits as game for the orcs? Also he may have sensed the presence of the ring and wanted to find out what was drawing him too it?
