Arwen's Death
Mary Ann Ludwig

Arwen marries Aragorn and he lives out a life twice as long as other men. He has the grace to "leave" when he choosed and does so. Arwen is not yet weary of life so she hangs around for a while then finally goes to Lothlorien and lays down in the grass to die. So she does not dies when Aragorn does. See the appendix for the Tale of Aragorn and Arwen.

There comes a point when someone making a series of films like these starts to believe that they know better how to tell the story than the author does. PJ has certainly reached this point in spades. I hated the way Faramir was portrayed. He never took Frodo and Sam prisoner! There was never a wizard fight in "Fellowship". Why wasn't there a flash when Bilbo disappeared in "Fellowship"? There was only one elf and one dwarf at Helm's Deep. Merry and Pippin didn't tell Treebeard what to do - ever. Arwen wasn't a "warrior elf-chick" as Liv Tyler describes her. Lots more gripes, but just damned glad that the films have been made and that they are as good as they are. I'm willing to forgive a lot just to see something that obviously has a lot of love put into it.
