Two Towers Review
Simon Goeschl

Having seen "The Two Towers" twice now, I feel that Peter Jackson truely has done justice to the 2nd book. I was blown away!! Like The Fotr, the scale and passion on which he has done Ttt, just blows my mind! Well done Peter Jackson!! My favourite part of the movie, would have to be Gollum. He, to me, sole the show! It was just like reading the book, especially the scene where he was debating weather or not to harm the hobbits, or take the ring; the good & evil sides of him. To me, it was like that part of the book came to life on the screen. Pin point accurate to the book! What a joy to see this before my very eyes! In fact Gollum was my favourite character throughout the movie! Granted, not every scene from the second book was included and not entirely 100% accurate in the 3 hour epic, but this is basically due to time restraints beyond PJ's control, and a bit of movie magic, which I guess needs to be done to cater for the wider audience; those who haven't read the book. Just a few things about the movie that I felt shouldn't have been done; The scene where Faramir takes Frodo captive to Gondor is entirely incorrect, P.J should have stuck to the book on this one, where in the book Famamir lets Frodo go after interegating him and Gollum, also the battle scene of Helms Deep involve Elves, (correct me if I'm wrong) but I don't believe they were in the battle, in the book. These are really the only major concerns I had, there were few more, but nothing to be concerned about as it is a movie, NOT the book; and being a movie one must alow a few poetic licences to go through. I cannot wait for the 3rd and final movie; I'm confident P.J will give us a finarly like we've never seen before, true to the book, and I wouldn't expect any less of him! Lets hope that P.J can allow more than 3 hours for "The Return of The King"; the final and dramatic ending to the trillogy!
