Ttt Thoughts
Hobbit Not Counted Among the V

Well I got to see the movie Christmas day, and I thought it was an awesome film. It pretty much surpassed my expectations. Of course not having been able to read the books for more than a year, I was a bit rusty on my Tolkien knowledge (thanks to my pre cal teacher :). I think PJ did an awesome INTERPRETATION of the movie. Many of the scenes that strayed from the book were actually vital in my oppinon. I can't remember who, but whoever it was, thanks for clearing up my confusion about why the elves were at Helms Deep. I figure it was about the only PJ could make it seem as if they did anything at all. I think King Theoden exorcism if you will call it that, really showed people who never read LOTR, the deepness of Suarumans treachery. Although I believe I must agree with those who thought Faramirs character, really betrayed his role in the book. BUT, I guess what PJ could've been doing, was show that the power of The Ring, could even make the most noble falter (example: Aragorn took a long pause when Frodo asked him if he would take the Ring, even he had to think about it). But even though, Man can still redeem himself, such as when he released Frodo, forsaking the judgement that would come on him. On another note, I thought Aragorn almost dieing was pretty much pointless, but hey, what better place to include Arwen and Aragorn in the movie. I guess it works. One final thing. Many say that because Frodo showed himself to the Nazgal in Osgiliath, Sauron knows where the ring is. Well that makes since. But a Nazgul stabbed him knowing he had was WEARING the Ring, and chased him down a canyon when Frodo was on the brim of passing into the wraith world. And that was all nine nazgul to. And if I'm not mistaken, every time Frodo wears the ring, Saurons attention turns straight to the ring. My point If this one Nazgul on a big ugly chicken (or whatever those things are) sees Frodo, and that means Sauron knows who the ring bearer is, then Sauron knew who he was a long time ago with all the crap that happened in FOTR. And I believe he did know who the ringbearer was when the Nazgul returned to Mordor after their little Ford incident. That was the entire purpose of the army marching to the black gate, to avert Saurons attention from the ringbearer. And also remember that Sam wore the ring while in Mordor, So yes Sauron has a good idea of where they are, of curse thats only my opinion :) And hey if I'm wrong at all just be a polite person, and correct me. Like I said it's been a while since i've had enough time to read the books. Well anyways if you haven't seen the movie, it rules.
