Re: Anduril
Brett C.

Firstly, Faramir, let me say I have the utmost sympathy for you in the way your namesake was...interpreted on screen. All I can really offer by way on condolence is ask that you remember all the feedback that came in about the treatment of Galadriel in the FOTR cinema release and how much improved the treatment of the character was in the extended DVD. We can only hope that the same will be true of Faramir.

With regards to Anduril, it seems PJ is focussing on Aragorn the man seperate to the issue of his being the Heir of Isildur and Elendil, so the Sword of Kings is being held off until ROTK. It seems extremely likely to me at this point that we will see Arwen herself turn up in Rohan in the early stages of the next movie, allowing viewers unfamiliar with the story to breath a sigh of relief that her love for Aragorn has won out and with the reforged Anduril replacing the Black Banner woven in the Book. This may actually work very well in helping said audiences understand Eowyn's angst regarding Aragorn not returning her love and her subsequent decisions.
