Osgiliath, Frodo, and Ringwraiths
Curious George

This is my gut feeling on the whole issue:

PJ chose to have Faramir take Frodo to Osgiliath in order to speed up the plot. Now Sauron knows that the Ring is in Gondor, and as a result he will launch his assault very soon. I have a feeling that "The Palantir" is going to be left out of the theatrical releases completely, and as a substitute he had Frodo show the ring to a Nazgul.

It's not too horrible of a deviation in my opinion, although it does seem to make the story a little too simple. It makes me scared to think of just how much stuff that is going to eliminate from film 3.
