Broken Toe

I was just reading Gwaihir's essay on The Two Tower's Blemishes, and he said that he didn't like the way Aragorn screamed when he thought the hobbit's were dead. I agree, I wouldn't have thought that Aragorn would be that upset to think that Merry and Pip were dead.

But I read an article that said when Viggo Mortensen kicked that Uruk-Hai helmet, he broke his toe and that's why he screamed so loud. Peter Jackson didn't know that anything had happened, until a few hours later when Viggo was limping. He decided not to cut it out because he liked it.

(And I am not making this up: I read it on the official Lord of the Rings site.) I have never broken a toe, but I expect it would hurt really bad.
