Angband is in the far north of the world in the older days, near some 1000 miles north of the northern most places on a map of Middle Earth in the 2nd and 3rd ages. But in its relation to the Iron Hills they are indeed related to it in a way. Those hills were part of the eastern most branch of the Iron Mountains that extended more to the southeast than due east as the mountains themselves went.

If you wanna see some really nice maps of all the ages I would suggest you find a copy of a book called "The Atlas of Middle Earth". It contains very nice maps of all places inside and outside of Middle Earth and from all its ages. Hope this helped.
