There Were Only 2 Elfs at Helm's Deep
Dee

I sat down after watching TTT three times, pondering what it was that was wrong about the battle that was realyl bugging me. I read some of the commentary on this site and other, and I'm still left wondering why there was an army of Elves at the battle of Helm's Deep. In the book, only Elrond's sons and Legolas were there, which are missing completely from the movie.

Has anyone read or heard anything about why PJ decided to change this? I thought is detracted from some of the other characters, such as Aragon, who was the greater leader of man in the book.

I have searched a lot of my tolken refernce book because i know they were taking some bits from the Appendix and other sources for the film, but this is just now where to be found.
