Glorfindel

Just a quick note on Glorfindel. The one who lives at Rivendell is not the same one who dies fighting the Balrog at the fall of Gondolin. Just a coincidence of names. By the same coincidence there was also a Legolas at the fall of Gondolin. The only elf to return from the Halls of Mandos was Luthien, and she went to plead for Beren (although as he was a man I am not sure what Mandos had to do with it!).

The troops in TTT probably come from Lorien because it is closer, reinforcements from Rivendell would take longer.
