I believe that Brego (in the movie of course, don't any of you Tolkien fans shoot me) was given to Aragorn by the Eomer, but then again i could be wrong. I'm desperately in need of watching the Two Towers again. (Can you believe it? I've only gone once!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!! SACRILEGE!!!!) Or, now thinking it over... Theoden probably gave Aragorn Brego before they set out for Helms Deep... hmmmmm.
OH, WAIT! EPIPHANY! I think I saw Eowyn holding Brego's reigns just before she says "I can fight!" to Theoden before they go to fight the wargs. Maybe they are making Brego out to be HER horse, and Aragorn borrows it... or maybe I'm getting a little far fetched. (Maybe aliens dropped Brego into the scene! ;))
