I belive that you are 100% correct. I to have heared and seen much critticism on the part of Faramir particularly, you see, as you said, that the hobbits are uneasy when they first meet him, perhaps this affects the audience some how? I don't know... but as the story continues you can tell that he is nothing like his brother, he truly understands that the ring must be destroyed. He sees that is is evil and helps them on thier way, I feel that all the actors did spectacular jobs and each brought out the caracter in thier own way. Thank you so much for speaking out in a constructive way, it surprises me how so many don't.
