Oy, With the Critics Already!
Lothengriol

Okay, okay, you all are right. You read me correctly: YOU ALL ARE RIGHT!! You say TTT didn't stick with the book? You're right; it can't compare with TFOTR. I mean, Arwen's frequent (and dare I say annoying) appearances, Faramir's being a corrupted sort of villian guy, the Ents deciding NOT to fight, and (horror of horrors) FRODO AND SAM GOING TO OSGILIATH!--that's not exactly, um, close to the book. So you guys are right when you say it doesn't stick. Now: all you people who say that TTT is the greatest movie since TFOTR, I say YOU ARE SOOO RIGHT!! Think about it. Not only does the movie have to please Tolkien fans, but also it must please audiences who have never seen the books. And, the only important bits of story to be found in TTT are Helm's Deep, Shelob's lair, and AAAALLLLL the new characters introduced. So, by showing a magnificent (phenominal, fantastic) battle at Helm's, introducing all the important characters, and postponing Shelob's big debut, they've done they're job. and then some. I loved this movie despite it's flaws (and I feel for Jackson; this is a hard book to adapt! He really pulled it off!). It kept the heart of the book and did all it really was required to. I feel TROTK will be much closer to the book and also that it will be the best thing since cheese. SO; WHO'S COUNTING DOWN WITH ME?? whew. I think I've gone submitting crazy since I got the hang of it.
