To Be, Or Not to Be
Beleg Strongbow
First off, to Bret(t) C.:
I do not know if what Eru says would match up with Sindarin, since the Valar have a language of their own (I am, by the way, assuming that Eru speaks 'Valarinian' to the Valar). The sindarin verb for 'to be' would be somewhat different. The elves themselves commented on how different Valarinian was from their language ("like the clashing of swords").
Next, to Mithril Miner and Turin Turumbar:
The verb that PJ uses for 'to be' (or rather just 'be') is na-. I do not know if that is completely accurate with what tolkien intended, but I think the quenya 'be' has the root of NHA-, so that would seem to make sense.
May the grace of the Valar protect you!
