April 8, 2003 Be Thankful First of all, let me say that I think of Peter Jackson as a genius. He obviously has done what no other film director could have done in adapting the LOTR onto the screen. My mixed feelings do not come from his alterations to the story - not entirely that is. But I'll save that for another time. I know that the debate is getting somewhat heated, as it has been from the beginning; but try and soften the opinions of others by saying "learn some respect," or "you do not have the right to criticize" is absolutely rediculous to me. All it shows is a person's inability to reason or respect the views of others. I said it once before, and I'll say it again: If it gets posted, it's fair game. People can post what they want, even if it's negative. If people don't want to read negative reviews of TTT then simply don't read them! A lot of people have made some very good points; even though I may not agree with all of them. But that is only my opinion, so you have the choice not to listen to it... |
