April 29, 2003 Bad Advice in TTT? This is a problem with the movie that has been bothering me for a while. Does anyone else think that Gandalf gives Theoden some bad advice in The Two Towers when he is urging the King of Rohan to fight? I mean judging by Rohan's show of hands at Helm's Deep their main army was in exile and what was left was 300 old men and children. I can't understand why Gandalf is so upset with the King wanting to go to Helm's Deep. If I had to fight 10,000 Orcs and my army consisted of 300 soldiers, let alone old men and boys, I would rather go to Helm's Deep than confront them openly. Any suggestions? |
