Yet Another Article on HP vs. LotR
Wieldr of the Flame

Yes, I have read all the Harry Potter books so far and I know I am not alone when I say That Lord Of The Rings is so much better than Harry Potter. Harry Potter doesn't have the same depth as Lord Of The Rings and since an early age I have always despised any thing that has kids saving the world. You mean to tell me in the entire HP universe there is not someone else who could go out and fight the dark lord besides 3 school children? Yes, HP is also aimed at a younger audience, so a bunch of mature people shouldn't be attacking it. My only problem with the HP books (besides the kid thing), is the depiction of house-elves. I much rather prefer Tolkien's take on Elves. Other than that I say we should put this argument to rest. I prefer Lotr, someone else might not, but hey, to each his own. And remember HP is a book that was not meant for adult critics, but for children and parents.
