Re: RotK Movie Thoughts (Potter Wrap-up)
Curious George

First off, thanks for your opinions on the Potter issue. I was only curious about the films, not the books, as I thouroughly enjoyed the books. I think Andrew was right on. It looked to me like Warner Brothers (or whoever did HP) was scrambling to make the Potter movies before LOTR, and thus the quality of the films suffered. I honestly think the HP movies could have been great, just as the books. But since they were released so closely to LOTR the similarities were destined to be seen. I wish they would have given it a few years, that's all.

In response to X and G, I think that in ROTK Sam and Frodo will be wearing the full armor of the orcs, along with full headed helmets covering their faces. I'm not sure exactly how it is in the book, but I think in order to pull it off in the film, they are going to have to wade through some mud puddles to cover up their hairy feet and distort the look of their skin and eyes.

I also have a feeling that the Palantir episode will be left out. Since the Nazgul saw Frodo with the Ring in Osgiliath, Saruon knows its whereabouts; thus making the Palantir scene with Pippin practically obsolete.
