In Response to Naz
Mithril Miner
Deat Naz,
I have read all the Harry Potter books SEVERAL TIMES!!!! I do like the Harry Potter books. I am just not pleased with the movies. Unlike the Lord of the Rings movies, I don't think that the script/screen captured Harry Potter the way it did FotR or TT. I am not saying that you can't be a fan of both (I myself am looking forward to the Prisoner of Azkaban, my favorite HP). But the HP movies just didn't impress me. I felt like they went by way to fast, and some of the characters that play a larger part in the book (and some people's favorite characters) are not in there (such as Peeves, Nearly Headless Nick, and so on) I know this happened somewhat with Lord of the Rings (Tom Bombadil, Radagast) but I can see why those changes were made. I don't see why they would leave some of teh ghosts out of the HP movie when they had every opportunity to put them in.
In short, I have nothing against the Harry Potter series, nor am I saying that one couldn't by fans of both, as I myself am. I am merely saying that the Potter movies just didn't impress me. In fact, I think they were horrible. But I am holding my breath for the Prisoner of Azkaban (as that is my favorite book).
