Paths_of_the_Dead, although I'm not sure which trailer you're talking about, I know that most of the music used in every LOTR trailer so far is just a bunch of made up junk (maybe not even written for the LOTR at all). They're very careful about not letting any music from the soundtrack get out before the movie comes out (just like they were careful not to show any pictures of Gollum anywhere until after the TT): even in documenteries I've seen about the TT they only played FOTR music. I wouldn't count on hearing any trailer music anywhere...except on other trailers as a cheap effect.---But I'm not sure, because like I said, I'm not sure which trailer you're talking about. It may very well be a missing theme.
