in response to paths of the dead about orcs climbing like monkeys. The abil;ity for them to do this may just be a natural adaption to living in caves. Think about it if your in a tight situation in a cave it may be kinda helpful to be able to climb like a monkey. And dont forget Gollum, he used to be a hobbit like creature if not an actual hobbit, a creature i wouldn't consider having to much skill in the ways of climbin a straight vertical drop, yet he'll climb it going head first. If a creature really needs to hell pretty much adapt to do anything including learning the climbing skills of a monkey
