A Possible Dissapointment

Is it true? One scene I looked forward to seeing in the TT Extended was the story of Gollum and how he went from mischievous Smeagol to wicked Gollum...now I hear that they're putting of the scene until the ROTK. Is it true? Has anyone any news? I'll hate waiting longer, even though it's only a month longer.

Also, there was some question as to how they would kill Saruman now that the bit about him taking over the Shire is out. Although I don't deny that I've seen the pictures of the wizard on a spiked wheel, and read all the rumours, I found a picture in Sibley's "Making of the Trilogy" of Grima, apparently knocked down (judging by the angle) looking vengefully up at something out of the picture with a knife in his hand. A closer look at the ground behind him leads me to believe that his is acually on top of Isenguard where Gandalf had been imprisoned. Perhaps the someone he is glaring at is Saruman, and perhaps that knife is meant for him. Maybe Saruman actually does die by the traitorous hand of Wormtounge, and then...oh, gosh, I don't know...falls off the tower onto the spiked wheel thing, sealing the deal.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Any input?
