Odds 'n' Ends, Plus a Question

First off, to the Merry + Eowyn discussion:

It was Eowyn who delt the fatal blow, sadly. I was defeated by a warrior princess--a tragic end for such a powerful Wraithe. Had not that confounded Brandybuck not gotten in my way, both of them would now lie dead on Pelennor Fields.

Next, to Rosy:

You can find everything you need at councilofelrond.com. They have a work book of Sindarin, for whoever wants to join. An exceptional sight, I must say! And as to your comment about going for the jugular--If no one ever debated anything, than the world would be at an impossible standstill. Debate is rooting out the bad ideas, even if they do so through a terribly offending matter. But next time, people, attack the problem, not the person!!

And finally a question of my own. After perceiving Gandalf the White, and my confrontation with him, I was wondering...

What would have happened if I had defeated him at the gate??? What would happen if he was to die? Would he not exist anymore? Or would he just come back?

Sorry, I just remembered another question that I had...Is Gandalf the White on the same level of Power as my master??? The little I know of him, Gandalf is a Maiar. But so is my master, Sauron. --(though my master is a bit more, well, persusasive). What would happen if Gandalf was to come against Sauron, if my master didn't have the One?
