Council of Elrond and Stuff
Lem

I agree with Brett C. about the council and that the other men, dwarves and elves should've had lines. it was rather strange that only the main charcters said anything.

I thought it kind of annoying how the hobbits and sometimes even Gimli seemed helpless, especially how every time hew as confronted by an enemy Frodo would drop his sword and fall over. i also agree with Brett C. that you would think that Gimli would know about what happened in Moria or that Gandalf would have told them more about it.
Boromir i thought was portrayed badly in the movie, they made him seem bitter and maybe even against the fellowship while in the book they actually showed how instrumental he was to the survival of the fellowship. In the book on Caradhras, for instance, he carried two of the hobbits down and plowed a path through the snow for the fellowship to traverse through. also he didn't seem to do much in the movie at all except fight and sometimes complain.

Some of the battle scenes in the movie were hard to see because the camera kept moving around and it was dark and fast. that was a little agitating for those of us wanting to see the battles.
But, overall, i thought that LOTR was a great movie and also a great book. any thoughts, responses, debates or comments i would like to hear.
