Something Old, Something New
Lilly
Mr. Underhill, I did hear that there would be many more Ent scenes in the Extended, but I doubt they'd spend all 40-odd minutes on them! ;)
I heard that there would be a LOT more Faramir...I really look forward to a more accurate depiction of him.
As to the Smeagol-to-Gollum scene, I've heard rumours that they're actually putting it off untill the ROTK: possibly even until the ROTK extended (though that one I doubt).
Also, to bring up an old topic, there has been some kind of controversy over the Death of Saruman in the movies. They say that there are about five (I think) different death scenes shot and that not even Christopher Lee knows which they're going to use. One juicy little rumour I heard (though I'm probably way behind the times; it's new to me, anyhow) is that the whole "Wizard on a Spiked Wheely Dealie" was just a hoax Peter Jackson set up to throw off spies that would try to sneek a peek behind the scenes (which they have). That's a reason to hope!
As you know, Narsil was reforged in the first book but they're putting it off until the ROTK movie. Naturally the way they could resolve this is by having the sword sent to him when the Banner of Gondor is...
But the rumour I heard is that the Banner and Sword won't just be delivered to him: It's gonna be delivered to him by ARWEN EVENSTAR. Am I the only person who hopes not?? I already think they've shown too much of her in the TT!!
Anyhoo, for anyone who wants pictures of the Banner of Gondor and other little tidbits from the ROTK, these sites are FANTASTIC:

And, for all the rumours, speculations, and facts about changes being made (or being considered) to the ROTK, go here:

(that last one is where I get all my info and several of my topics).
Hope these interest you!
