Merry and Pippin's Moments to Shine
Lilly

In the books, the hobbits Pippin and Merry really don't do a whole lot until the ROTK. Then major events occur and the hobbits rise to heroism.

Lately many peiple have been wondering whether or not they will put those events into the movie. I say, they must; otherwise they might just as well have left the characters out of the movie alltogether.

Pippin will find the Palantia. That must happen. And I bet that he will save Faramir as well. They can't leave those out satisfactorily. It can't be done.

Merry will aid Eowyn in the destruction of the witch king. That's his moment to shine (actually, the Scouring of the Shire was both of the hobbits' real moment of glory, defending their turf, but seeing as how they've taken that out, they must leave these events in).

So be happy!
