Odds and Ends
G

OK, I have a couple of thins to say here and it would probably be wise to put them into seperate posts but I'm not going to so if this inconveniences you then I appologise in advance.

First off, Lilly aked about the Grey Havens. These are located at the West coast of Middle Earth, not far from the Shire and are the home of Cirdan the Shipwright. It is from here that the Elven ships set sail to Valinor and yes, Frodo and later Sam do make the voyage to the Undying Lands.

Next, some of my own wonderings as to the contents of the extended Two Towers. I have absolutely no evidence to go on and have heard few rumours but here is some of what I'd like to see.

1) More of the Orcs that captured Merry and Pippin and the fighting among them (espec. further development of Ugluk and Grishnakh's characters).

2)Eomer fighting Ugluk, leader of the Uruk-Hai sword to sword. This happens in the book and would make Eomer appear much more heroic.

3) Treebeard talking about the Entwives and trying to fit Hobbits into his list of creatures.

What do you think?

Finally, I have a question. The Silmarillion tells us that every race in Middle Earth fought in the battle of the Last Alliance, and that only Elves fought on one side only and never for Sauron. What about the Ents? If they were involved surely they wouldn't side with Sauron, although the Huorns might but as I remember it Huorns and Ents aren't the same thing. And were hobbits iknvolved? Surely not?

Sorry for the length,
G.
