Ghan-buri-ghan
Jarrickon Falconn

I saw a picture last night night in the RotK Misc. gallery of www.warofthering.net of a filthy guy with long, extraordinarily tangled hair (not Aragorn lol), with tattered clothes holding a knife to his hand. I'd bet anything that this is Ghan-buri-ghan pledging himself and his people to King Theoden in Druadan forest (I think there were trees in the background, it was too distorted to be sure).

By the way, Galen~gil, where did you find the translation of Gimli's insult? I went to Gwaith-i-Phethdain, a site I've been to many times before, and it seems that they have finally put up a translation. It certainly does not say 'A curse upon your necks,' however. What it says upon the site is:

"According to Andreas Fröhlich, the director of the German translation of the movie, this phrase means: 'I spit upon your grave.'

Gimli: Ishkhaqwi ai durugnul.
'I spit upon your grave'

ishkhaqwi- 'I spit'.
ai- prep. 'upon', reduced form of aya (WR:20)
durugnul- 'your grave'"

Namárië!
