The Sons of Elrond

As most of us are no doubt aware, there is a lot of evidence to suggest that Arwen will be coming south to Rohan towards the start of the Return of the King movie and will be delivering Anduril to Aragorn.

Does this mean that she is going instead of her brothers Elladan and Elrohir (if I've gotten those names wrong then sorry), as they are supposed to meet Aragorn at this point of the story, or will they be with her? If they are absent then we are going to lose two potentially great characters. I fear that had Jackson intended to include them he would have introduced them at Rivendell so I doubt that they will now appear in the next film.

If I am correct about this then would it not have been preferable to have them leading the Elves to Helm's Deep as opposed to Haldir, who never came to Rohan or Gondor at all during the War of the ring and if I'm remembering correctly helped Celeborn as he defended Lorien and then went on to assail Dol Guldur. This would have been much closer to Tolkien's work and would, in my view, have in no way detacted from the story.
