Dwarves...

Mithril miner reminded me of a little something from the book. He said he didn't know Aragorn could speak Dwarvish, it reminded me that Dwarves never taught their tongue to anyone of another race. Where do I get this? Gandalf the fool says it at the gates of Moria, when trying to guess the opening words. He felt there would be no need to "...call on Gimli for words of the secret dwarf-tongue that they teach to none." This casts huge doubt on Aragorn knowing the language (and Haldir, judging by his reaction to the Dwarfs comment).
Any news as to who will be playing the parts of the other captains of the West? Prince Imrahil, Forlong the Fat and Co?
