Boromir
Barristan S.

Actually, I thought the movie did a pretty decent job portraying Boromir. The scene where he is practicing with the hobbits was instrumental in the showing who he really was, but they really gave you a sense that a new persona was washing over him everytime the ring was mentioned.
Also, I think they did a wonderful job at showing the "poor Boromir" aspect. The book was not as kind to him. While he was essential in the book, the book didn't display the idea of the desparation to save Gondor as much as the movie did (partly because the movie was able to show all facial expressions and mannerisms). His death speech, while definately expanded, really fit the mood and I really enjoyed it.
I think the movie gave a very "human" aspect to Boromir. Now, it will be interesting to see if they can capture the same vigor, but with more temperence in Faramir. Let's cross our fingers, eh?
