To respond to G; no. The sons of Elrond have the same immortal elven life as their father; in the Appendices, Arwen says this herself to Aragorn. Although I agree that Tolkien somtimes seemed to treat them more like Men, it's possible that this is simply because they are very often with the Dunedain and they have some man blood in them, like Arwen. However, Elladan and Elrohir did not leave for the Grey Havens with their father, and they remained in Rivendell even during the Fourth Age (though we can assume they also left, eventually, with Celeborn to the Undying Lands).
