The Many Staffs of Gandalf

G, the reason that Gandalf has his staff back after his imprisonment on Orthanc is that it's an entirely different staff. Look at his staff in the Shire: it's crafted so that it curls upward and can store his pipe. However in Rivendell, it sort of flares back as a flame blown in the wind.

PS: I also loathed Gollum's 'acceptance speach.' I though it made a mockery of the deeply moving and disturbing double personality of Gollum/Sméagol. Also, cursing in such a foul tongue was completely unnecessary.
PPS: STOP THE HARRY POTTER THING ALREADY!!!! We had this argument a month ago. . . This place is called TOLKIEN-movies for a reason; let's keep it on Tolkien.
