Sauron Speaks, Hobbit Ballad, and Thranduilion
Jarrickon Falconn

A) When first Frodo puts on the Ring in FotR in Bree, he sees the Great Eye of Sauron. As he crawls away from it, Sauron/the Ring can be heard saying, "You cannot hide. I see you. There is no life in the Void. Only death," over murmerings of Black Speech.

B) Hey, ho, to the bottle I go
To heal my heart and drown my woe!
Rain may fall, and wind may blow,
And there still be many miles to go.

Sweet is the sound of the falling rain,
And the stream that runs from hill to plain.
Far better than rain or rippling brook
Is a mug of beer inside this Took!

Thus runs Merry and Pippin's drinking song.

C) Legolas, son of Thranduil, means Greenleaf.
