Personally, I can see his point a lil bit, but not for that particular reason.... He has so much to fit in 3 hours. He probably doesn't have much of a choice....

...but I would love to see is an hour or 2 HBO movie based on "Many Partings" to "The Grey Havens". I think that would be a very nice bonus... and would satisfy everyone.

However, then everyone's contracts would have to be renegotiated, and there would be haggling haggling haggling.
