Re: A New FotR Film
Razors
So Drac0n1us, you want to see a 24-hour-long FOTR divided into six four-hour movies, including every little character and scene from the books?
Interesting idea, but the whole point of Jackson's production was to make a movie series that was accessible to both devoted Tolkien fans and newcomers unfamilar with the books. Your idea would just alienate the latter (due to the unbelievable volume of information to be absorbed) only the former would bother seeing all six, and casual fans like myself would be pretty daunted by the buttock-numbing concept of going to half a dozen four-hour movies. In short, only a minority of the movie-going public would bother with it and whoever forked out the money to fund the damn thing would be filing for bankruptcy soon afterwards.
Sorry.
