Thanks for the Shot, Anteru
Warg

Sorry to have brought you so close to your deathbed Anteru. I only come to this forum on my lunch hour, and the ideas I post are purely speculative and off the top of my head.

Your response to my article was almost equally as amusing to me. You outright failed to address the concept, and instead focused on critizing my imagination. We are talking about Fantasy here; and although Tolkien gets very specific about his characters and his world, it's not governed by the same laws of science, or physics. You fall into the same category of purists who treat this forum as if it were a courtroom. What I say "can and will be" used against me. "The law clearly states..." So be it. I understand that my idea could make for an entire book, and was very broad; but if you need me to "think out" my ideas into such detail that you needn't any imagination of your own, well then that is your problem. Don't try to boost your ego by belittling the very thing that created Tolkien's world (imagination - if you need it spelled out).

A Ring to counter the One Ring is very possible in my mind. Instead of pouring cruelty and malice into it, it would have courage, strength, purity, light, and justice. It was merely something I had thought of to try and spark some ideas from others.

About "creating" orcs; use whatever word you want but it essentially means the same thing. If you can't derrive meaning from what you percieve to be mis-used words then you truely have no imagination. The underlying principal of that idea was simply using "fire against fire." Using Sauron's own to defeat him somehow. Saruman had the right idea. But alas, my lunch is up, and I'd very much like to hear some of your speculations on what would be different if there had been a Sauron "equivalent" on the good side. Shoot me again if you wish...
