Sauron the Wiser?
Loremaster

I cant agree that Sauron being the wiser. Partially because in the Sil. Tolkien writes that Orlorin(Gandalf) was wisest of the maiar. I do believe Sauron was definitely stronger and i have to disagree with Anteru's comment about the "good side" not being able to create a ring because it was made with the "bad stuff". I believe that if it can be made for bad it can be made for good, it just matters on who makes & puts thier strength into it. Also i would like to say that it wasn't luck that destroyed the ring, as some have suggested. In the book it showes that the ring itself is to blame. The ring tels Gollum that if he were to touch it again he would cast himself into Mt. Doom. It seems to me a stupid thing for the ring to do, and since the ring held most of Saurons essence, id have to say that the part of the essence that did this was pretty stupid. Id love to hear other theories on this, i would write more but i like to keep these postings brief;).
