Ringlore
Annatar

Some great ideas have popped up, thanks to Warg I think it was (repeated deaths can effect ones memory). About a counter ring to the One ring being created by the West. I just figured that this ring did not have to be completely goody-goody, but could allow for the bending of rules etc, while also inspiring courage and fraternity. To counter Sauron's Ring, how could such a ring be made powerful enough? Could the White Council pool their collective might in such a device? However, where would the knowledge to do such a thing come from? Celebrimbor and Co are dead. The only living being that knows Ringlore is Annatar, and I would not share that knowledge with mine enemies. Saruman only became a ring maker through consulation with Lugburz. The idea of the West spawning legions of orcs and trolls to fight Mordor has a certain appeal, yet it would be dangerous to my mind, as the legions could "jump ship" to embrace a greater master. While i do not have the Books to hand, I believe there is a passage where someone wished Sauron and Saruman lived close beside each other and so could fight it out... ...the victor would be greater still and also free from doubt. This indicates that Orcs are not big on loyalty. Anyways enough of my rambling on. See you all later... in mine Armies or the dungeons of The Tower :) Ash Nazg...
