RotK Trailer News
Bob Praz

I know you're all waiting impatiently for the first ROTK trailer, but I've read scans of the official LOTR magazine, which has an interview with Peter Jackson, and PJ says that there will be NO TEASER for ROTK, but that the final and only theatrical trailer will come out in SEPTEMBER. I find this discouraging, but at least there's the preview on the DVD before then. For those who want to read the interview for themselves (it's good, and PJ explains his decision about the trailer) here's a link to the scans: www.theonering.net/scrapbook/group/892

By the way, PJ also said that Sauron will not appear in physical form in ROTK, but will remain very much as he is in the books.

As for the ROTK trailer/preview footage that was posted on theonering.net several days ago (but of course was forced by New Line to be taken of the Web) I did manage to download it. It's very likely part of the ROTK preview on the TTT DVD, and as such those who had the misfortune of missing it will see it again at the end of August in full quality and lenght.

P.S.: It's too bad the site was down and the data lost, but these things happen, and I hope no one will get discouraged by it. Just keep posting and, if you can, post the articles that never had the chance to appear. I myself keep a copy on my computer of every article I write for the forum.
