Outtakes Helms Deep
Elfowitz

If anyone has not listened to the Cast Audio commentary for Fellowship Extended edition, it is well worth checking out. It's a bit more interesting than the Director's commentary although that too is good in parts. I detected a small amount of good humoured needle directed at Orlando Bloom by the hobbits. Elijah, Sean, Dominic and Billy are doing their commentary together whereas Orlando is doing his separately. At the Amon Hen part just after Legolas had shot off 6 arrows in quick succession, Elijah or Sean mentions that Orlando's arrows were CG which I knew already because it was normally too dangerous using real ones. Elijah then said "I'd better not mention the outtakes of him (Orlando) at Helm's Deep." Sean, I think says "Don't even go there." Does anyone know what these outtakes actually show? I do know that Orlando actually did the sliding down the steps on the shield bit himself - that wasn't a stuntman or CG. However the bit with him swinging onto the horse (the Warg attack) was CG because they forgot to shoot that particular scene - it made that moment look good though!
