Fav Movie, Book, Parody Thoughts
Tinowien

Frodo_lives, my favorite movie is, hands down, Two Towers. In fact I have a confession to make.
I wasn't a LOTR fan until I saw TT. FOTR was a good movie, I saw it in the theater and enjoyed it very much, but it was never on my list of favorite movies. The book was alright, but I wasn't interested enough to read past Fellowship. I was getting fairly excited, though, for TT, commercials with Treebeard looked cool. And then my mother brought home the TT soundtrack. I was positively blown away by the music. Then I saw TT. That movie is undescribable in how it moves me and how I love it so much. I came home thirsty for everything LOTR. And now it is a part of my life.
My favorite book... this is difficult. Rereading it I find I enjoy Fellowship the most. But Two Towers is good... and so is Return of the King... this is difficult.
I enjoy very much LOTR humor. But I have a problem with parodies like BOTR. Something a little racy doesn't bug me, but things that go overboard are very offensive. The Secret Diaries by Cassandra Claire, for example, would be much more entertaining without the homosexual innuendos, which make me uncomfortable.
Don't get me into slash. It makes me so sick. I don't see why it is banned forever. Anyone else agree?
