Fav. Sil Character, and Sauron's Rehab
King_of_the_jester_race

My favorite character in the Sil. would have to be either Feanor or Meadhros. Actually i'd have to say all the sons of Feanor, i like the idea that they were sworn to retrieve something that thier father had made, yet they become so twisted by this promise that the things which they are to retrieve wont suffer them to be touched. Ya know, i pretty much liked every character in the Sil. Tolkien did a good job writing it.

To Annatar, i dont think you really had to explain that you were only playing the part from Saurons view, although, the way danny argued you it seems he might have missed it. I believe the Vala did fail him in the fact that he could have possibly been changed. He repented of his sins when they conquered Malkor, and tolkien even writes that he was probably serius about this, but he did not want to face the judgement of the vala out of fear. So he fled and hid, now it seems to me that if the vala could hunt down and drag melkor to the circle of doom, they could have done this with Sauron. They must have know that if they were to let him fester in his fear that he would surly shift back to his genocidal world dominating self. So i think in this instance, the vala failed both Sauron and Middle Earth.
