I'm sorry if any of you disliked Bored of the Rings but I really don't understand some of the criticisms that have been made.
Surely in today's society a book or film cannot be criticised or dismissed simply due to the inclusion of some drug references and innuendo. If this is the case then Trainspotting and Pulp Fiction must be two of the worst movies ever made and not even Master Annatar with all his skills of deception could make that argument believable.
At the end of the day it is just a parody and most of the jokes are so subtle that its easy to miss them, brilliant as they are. And surely no-one here can have failed to enjoy Goddam's premature demise.
The important thing, as with all parodies is not to take it at all seriously. The genius behind Goodgulf's actions in Minas Tirith is that they are so far removed from those of Gandalf. Anyway, sorry if you didn't enjoy but I still can't recommend it highly enough.
