Melkor and Sauron, Redemption
Annatar

A very quick post to point out that the Valar themselves recognised/hoped that Melkor himself could be redeemed. They saw no barriers to this happening only Melkor's own reluctance. This would also indicate that there would be no barriers constraining Sauron from redemption (cept himself). While the Valar may not be completely to blame for Sauron lost opportunity they should accept at least some of the blame, if for nothing else than letting the enemy go to cause more havoc. We all agree they hardly killed themselves trying to relocate sauron after he skedaddled, did a runner, legged it etc.

A question... why did the Mouth of Sauron refer to himself as the Mouth of Sauron and as his master as Sauron, when earlier it is clearly stated that Sauron did not recognised that designation as his name? Using instead the symbol of the lidless eye...?
Any ideas?
Oh well, see you all later (tis handy having no eyelids, hard to get some shut eye though) :) Ash Nazg...
